Barent Bradt is the head instructor for Lansing Jiu-Jitsu. He began training at a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu affiliate school in 2002. After winning several tournaments at the white belt level, he was promoted to Blue belt under Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Chet Schemahorn. After winning several more local tournaments, including the Arnold Gracie Jiu-Jitsu tournament, he started teaching at a local Boxing gym in 2008. In March of 2010 he was promoted to purple belt under Chet Schemahorn. Barent has had the pleasure of training with many outstanding practitioners of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including: Ryron Gracie, Ralek Gracie, Caique, Chet Schemahorn and many other talented grapplers.
